Mike is well respected as a classical mandolin player, having performed with the Louisville and Knoxville Symphony Orchestras. He founded the Louisville Mandolin Orchestra and has served as past president of the Classical Mandolin Society of America. He also performs with the bluegrass/newgrass band Cloigheann and is a June Appal Grammy nominated recording artist for his work with the Buzzard Rock String Band. He has served as a guest-artist for the Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts Program.
